ElectriCare services solar systems originally installed by companies that have gone out of business, filed bankruptcy, or stopped servicing customers. Most equipment is still under manufacturer warranty — and we file those claims for you.

951.696.9669When the company that installed your system goes out of business, you become an orphan customer. Your panels, inverter, and battery are still on your roof. They're still covered by manufacturer warranties. But you have no installer to call when something stops working — and no one to file warranty claims, troubleshoot performance issues, or service your system.
This is now common. Over 100 solar companies have filed bankruptcy or shut down in recent years — including SunPower (August 2024), Titan Solar Power (June 2024), Sunnova (June 2025), Pink Energy, Vivint Solar, and most recently Freedom Forever (Chapter 11, April 2026 — headquartered right here in Temecula).
If you're one of them, ElectriCare can help.
Service, repair, monitoring reconnection, and warranty claim assistance for systems originally installed by these defunct companies and many others:
If your installer isn't listed, call us anyway — we service systems regardless of who installed them.
Five things every orphaned solar customer needs — and what we provide for each.
Most equipment is still under 10–25 year manufacturer warranty. We file claims directly with Enphase, Maxeon, REC, Tesla, and others.
Free visual and production inspection. Full diagnostic report quoted upfront. Catches issues while warranties are still active.
Original installer's app dead? We reconnect to native manufacturer monitoring (Enphase Enlighten, SolarEdge, Tesla app).
Failed inverter, microinverter, or battery? We diagnose, source warranty parts, and install with our own electricians — never subcontracted.
Many orphaned systems were sized for NEM 2.0 economics. We add or reconfigure battery storage to restore your savings under NEM 3.0.
26+ years in business. Same family, same California license (CSLB #778366). When you call in 5 years, we'll still be here.

The workmanship warranty from your installer may be void, but the equipment manufacturer warranties are separate and usually still valid. Panels typically carry a 25-year manufacturer warranty (from Maxeon, REC, LG, Q CELLS, etc.), microinverters have a 25-year warranty from Enphase, string inverters carry 10–12 years from SolarEdge or Fronius, and batteries carry 10 years from Tesla, Enphase, or Franklin. We help you identify exactly what is still covered.
Equipment replacement under manufacturer warranty is typically free — the manufacturer ships the part. What you pay is the labor to install it. We quote labor upfront with no surprises. Diagnostics and inspections are also quoted before any work begins.
Yes. Lease and PPA contracts usually transfer to a successor company (for SunPower, that is SunStrong Management; for Sunnova, also SunStrong Management; for Freedom Forever, the bankruptcy court is determining the assignee). We can still service your system regardless of who holds the contract — though financial questions go to the contract holder.
Most service calls are scheduled within 1–2 weeks. Emergency outages where the system is fully down are prioritized. Call (951) 696-9669 if your system is producing zero.
Three reasons: manufacturer warranties have expiration dates, replacement parts for older inverters become harder to source as time passes, and small issues (failing microinverters, loose connections, monitoring disconnections) are far cheaper to address before they cause production loss. A free inspection now while warranties are valid protects your investment.
An inspection now, while warranties are still valid, is far cheaper than emergency service later. Schedule your free assessment today.
