Roofers can't touch your solar system — and they shouldn't. ElectriCare safely removes your panels, stores them, and reinstalls everything to code once the roof work is complete.
Coordinate with your roofer first — then call us to schedule around their timeline.
951.696.9669Solar panels are mounted to your roof's structural elements and connected to live electrical systems. Roofing contractors are not licensed or insured to work on them — and most will require you to arrange removal before they'll start. Improperly handled removal can void equipment warranties, damage panels, and create liability.
ElectriCare coordinates directly with your roofing contractor, removes the entire solar array, safely stores the equipment, and reinstalls everything once the roof is complete — verifying full system production before we're done. We've handled hundreds of these and know how to keep your project on schedule.
We make the solar part of your roofing project simple.
Tell us your system size, panel count, inverter brand, and your roofer's estimated start date. We'll provide a quote promptly.
We photograph and document your array layout, connections, and racking before removing anything — so reinstallation is accurate.
We remove all panels, microinverters, optimizers, and racking. Equipment is labeled, inventoried, and stored until roof work is complete.
Once the roof is done, we reinstall to original spec and verify the system is producing at expected levels before we close out.
Roof projects are stressful enough. The solar portion shouldn't add complications. We've worked alongside every major roofing company in Southwest Riverside County.
We work directly with your roofing contractor to align schedules so your project doesn't stall between removal and roof completion.
Everything is photographed and documented before removal. Reinstallation matches the original layout — no guesswork, no surprises.
We carry the proper licenses and insurance for this type of work. Your equipment and home are protected throughout the process.
Reinstallation is a good time to address existing issues with your racking, wiring, or monitoring. We'll flag anything worth addressing while the roof is open.
Include your roofer's estimated timeline and we'll coordinate scheduling.
Roofing contractors are generally not licensed for electrical work, which means they legally cannot disconnect or reconnect a solar system tied to the utility grid. Most reputable roofers will not touch your solar system for this reason — and any that do may expose you to warranty voidance, permit issues, and liability. Always use a licensed solar/electrical contractor for removal and reinstallation.
Removal and reinstallation by a licensed contractor does not void panel or inverter manufacturer warranties. However, removal by an unlicensed party — including your roofer — may. All work we perform is documented so you have proof of proper handling if a warranty issue arises in the future.
For a typical residential system (16–24 panels), removal takes 3–5 hours. Reinstallation is similar. Larger systems or complex roofs may take longer. We'll give you a specific time estimate after the initial quote. Both removal and reinstallation are typically completed in a single day each.
We label and inventory every panel, microinverter, and piece of racking hardware during removal. Equipment is stored securely — either on your property in a protected location or at our facility — until we're scheduled to reinstall. Nothing leaves the project without documentation.
Reinstallation is one of the most cost-effective times to expand your system or address existing issues — the labor for roof access is already factored in. If you've been considering adding panels, upgrading to a battery, or replacing an aging inverter, ask us to include that assessment in your quote.
Most roofers can't start until the solar is down. We'll coordinate the timeline so your project stays on track.
