Solar Electrician – Murrieta, CA

Established solar company is looking to expand our team of talented individuals by making available the position of solar electrician. ElectriCare, Inc. has been in business for over 20 years and has successfully installed thousands of residential and commercial solar photovoltaic systems. Based out of Murrieta, CA, ElectriCare, Inc. serves a large portion of Southern California. With in-house resources and an extensive network of industry partners, we offer a wide array of services from residential to small and medium commercial projects. ElectriCare, Inc. is currently searching for motivated individuals to become solar electricians responsible for the electrical part of residential solar systems installation. Most work is completed on the ground as roof crews handle the roof portion of the project.

Solar Electrician Responsibilities:

  • Conduct the installation of electrical systems that connect our solar array panels to the grid power of our customer’s residential homes
  • Troubleshoot system issues and resolve electrical problems
  • Ensure all aesthetic aspects have been taken into consideration
  • Work with other field operation crew members and home owners to complete any necessary system upgrades/repairs to support solar panels and related equipment
  • Commission solar system monitoring units
  • Attend mandatory training sessions on new products, installation methodology and safety
  • Maintain inventory of equipment for each installation
  • Work with local building inspectors to comply with local requirements and expectations
  • Clean up of job site
  • Additional duties required as needed

Solar Electrician Requirements:

High School diploma, or General Education Degree (GED)

  • High School diploma, or General Education Degree (GED)
  • Communicates effectively, both written and verbally, in English
  • Minimum 2 years of electrical installation experience
  • Read and understand electrical and structural diagrams
  • Responsible for interpreting PV line drawings, product literature, and referencing NEC codes and regulations. The solar llectrician is responsible for a code-compliant and operational system.
  • Full range of mobility in the upper and lower body
  • Ability to conform to all OSHA requirements
  • Ability to run conduit in a clean manner
  • Analyze and diagnose problems
  • Solar electrical knowledge is a plus
  • Able to work in various positions, including, but not limited to, stooping, standing, bending over, sitting, kneeling and squatting
  • Mechanically inclined
  • Able to lift, pull and push materials and equipment to complete assigned job tasks
  • Able to lift 50 pounds of weight frequently throughout the day
  • Attention to detail
  • Prompt response to customer needs
  • Works long hours when necessary to reach goals
  • Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record
  • Ability to pass a background and substance abuse test
  • Professional appearance and ability to interact with clients
  • Previous solar experience strongly preferred

Solar Electrician compensation based on experience. $18-$23 per hour.
